| Robert
Halliwell was born in 1841 in Wigan and was a mason. His first wife,
by whom he had five children, died. He married Jane Ainscough , the
daughter of John Ainscough (1810) and Mary Benson, in 1877. In 1881
he was living at 3 Lower Gullet Aspull. He died in June 1885.
