GOLDSPINK (1825 - ?) |
|
William
Goldspink was born in 1825 in Oulton. In 1841 he was a servant in the household of George Bevan at Horningsheath Green in Suffolk. In 1849 he married a woman called Mary Ann Neave by whom he had had at least two children. In 1851 he was a farm labourer and living in Church Street, Pakefield. He then also
had several children - another family, some of whom were living with
him - by a woman named Myra Knights. In 1861 Mary Ann was living in Unity Place, Pakefield - William was probably at sea. Myra was living with her parents in Kirkley High Street and her first son by William - William Knights - was a "lodger" in the household of bricklayer William Newson in Lowestoft. In 1871 he was listed as a fisherman
and was living at 1 Runacles Cottage in Kirkley. In 1881 his occupation
was given as a carter and he was living at 2 Barn Lane in Pakefield.
