CHARLES ARCHER FORDER (1845 - ?)
Charles Archer Forder was born in Beccles in 1845 and baptised on 3rd January. He was the son of John Forder (1811) and Caroline Edwards. In 1851 he was living in London Road, Beccles. By 1861 he had moved to his mother's home town of Northampton, was living with his uncle Thomas Edwards in Lawrence Street, and was an apprentice in the shoe trade. He married Jane Shepard Webb from Towcester in Northampton in 1867. In 1871 Charles and Jane were living in the St. Peter area of Northampton and he was working as a shoe finisher. Jane died in 1876 and Charles married Lucy Oliver from Lower Heyford in Northampton in 1879. By 1881 he had moved to 30 St. Peters Street and was working as a shoe maker. In 1891 he was living at 104 Great Russell Street and was still a shoe maker. In 1901 he was still at 104 Great Russell Street and listed as a boot finisher.
