William
Eke was born in Corpusty in 1826 and was the son of Jonas Eke (1803)
and Caroline. He was the nephew of William Eke (1799). In 1841 he
was living in The Street, Corpusty. He married a woman called Elizabeth
Daplyn in 1848, and was working as a wheelwright in Great Walsingham
in Binham in 1854, and in Great Walsingham in 1861. In 1871 he was
living in Great Walsingham and was a builder employing four men and
three boys.
