Louisa
Eke was the daughter of John Eke (1808) and Susannah Scott and was
born , probably in Guestwick, in 1830. In 1841 and 1851 she was living on the
Green Guestwick. In 1871 she was working as a cook in the Black Lion Hotel, Holy Trinity, Stockton. In 1861 she was a nurse maid in the household of Matthew Todd, who had a wool combing factory, at 11 Nelson Square, Horton, near Bradford. In 1881 she was working as a cook and living at 45 West Terrace, Normanby in Middlesbrough.
