Jabez
Eke was the son of John Eke (1808) and Susannah Scott and was born in Guestwick, in 1829. In 1841 he was living on the Green,
Guestwick. He married Elizabeth Pinshon on 9th November 1850 in Guestwick. In 1851 he was living with his uncle William (1804) in Guestwick and working as an agricultural labourer - a job he had for most of his life. In 1861 and 1871 he was living in Guestwick. In 1881 he was living at a farm house in Foulsham. By 1891 he had moved back to Guestwick and, in 1901, was a farm foreman living near Abbey Farm.
