Jonas
Eke was born in 1803 in Corpusty and was the son of William Eke (1768)
and Margaret Selth. He married a woman called Caroline around 1825.
His second wife was Martha Reynolds, also from Corpusty, whom he married
around 1839. In 1841 he was living in The Street, Corpusty, and working
as a carpenter. In 1845 he was listed as a wheelwright in Corpusty.
In 1851 he was working as a carpenter journeyman in Corpusty. In 1861
he was working as a carpenter and baker and living in Corpusty Street,
Corpusty.
