Hannah
Eke was born in Peterborough in 1870 and was the daughter of William
Eke (1844) and Elizabeth Broughton. In 1881 she was living at 6 Neals
Cottages, Whitsed Street, Peterborough. She married Alfred Hacker,
a postman from Hackney, in Thrapston in 1899. In 1891 she was living
at 10 Bedford Street, Peterborough, and working as a domestic servant.
In 1901 she was living at 12 Beechmans Road, Sheffield, with her family
and her two brothers Frederick and Walter.
