Dinah
Dickinson was born around 1865 in Anderton and was the daughter of
Frances Jane Dickinson (1846). In 1871, at the age of 6, she was lodging
with the household of Thomas Seddon in Benthoms Terrace, Blackrod.
In 1881 she was living at Kenwrights Cottage, Westhoughton with the
family of her stepfather, Joseph Hatton. She married John William
Ainscough born in 1865, probably in Hindley about 1890. She was the
daughter-in-law of James Ainscough (1843) and the granddaughter-in-law
of William Ainscough (1816). In 1891 she was aged 26 and was living
at 646 Chorley Road, Westhoughton. In 1901 she was aged 36 and living
at 176 Atherton Road in Hindley.
