| Jane Darbyshire was born around 1782, probably in Duxbury, and married coal miner John Holding around 1806. In 1841 she was living in Grimshaw Cottages, Haigh. In 1851 she was widowed, described as a pauper and hand loom weaver, and living in the household of her son James in Aspull.
