Walter
Charles Broughton was born on 27th August 1905 in Pakefield
and was the son of Lemuel Charles Broughton (b.1878) and Daisy
Pomfrey. He was known throughout his life as Jack and, after
leaving the navy, opened the "Beaulieu" Guest House
in Felixstowe. Jack had a rich naval career, sailing to every
corner of the world and living a dangerous life during the Second
World War. |
