| Walter
Charles Broughton was born on 27th August 1905 in Pakefield and was
the son of Lemuel Charles Broughton (b. 1878) and Daisy Pomfrey. He
was known throughout his life as Jack and, after leaving the navy,
opened the "Beaulieu" Guest House in Felixstowe. He married
Ellen Edith Haste from Ipswich in 1929. In 1953 he was living at 11
Sea Road, Felixstowe, and was present at the deaths of his parents
in 1953.
