Raymond Broughton was born in Great Plumstead in 1867 and was the
son of Joshua Broughton (b. 1839) and Charlotte Andrews. He was the
grandson of John Broughton (b. 1809). In 1871 he was aged 6, was at
school, and was living at 13 Wilderness Place, North Side, in Norwich.
In 1881 he was aged 14, was working as a servant at the station and
was living at Beaneys Gardens in Norwich. In 1901 he was aged 34 and
was serving as a Private in the Royal Marines School of Gunnery at
the Royal Marine Barracks, Forton [Alverstoke, Hants. ]. He was single. |
