| Salome
Elizabeth Emily Broughton was born in 1849 and christened at St Peter's
Church in Spixworth on 9th December 1849. She was the daughter of
John Broughton (1809) and Mary Catherine Coe. In 1851 she was aged
16 months and living at the forge at Lone Barn in Spixworth. In 1861,
Salome - listed as a son called Salone - was aged 12 and was living
with her parents in North Infirmary Road, Norwich St. Clement. In
1867 she had married William Oldfield and had two children. Salome
and her family were living with her parents in Long Row, Norwich St.
Clement. She was living in Waterloo, Coslany, Norwich, in 1874. In
1881 she was aged 31 and living at 8 Salisbury Terrace in Norwich.
In 1891 she was living with husband William Oldfield and seven children
at 27 Simpson Street, Battersea. In 1901 she was aged 51 and was living
at 1 Urswick Road, Battersea. |
