John
Garrould Broughton c1911 |
This
is the only picture of John Garrould Broughton, the youngest
son of blacksmith Raymond Broughton (1842), that I have been
able to obtain - a real find. John was born in 1888 and looks
to be about 23 in this photograph. I have accordingly given
it a tentative date of about 1911. I have not yet identified
the military uniform but the front frogging and the braiding
on the sleeve might allow some future identification. John might
have been in a military regiment or possibly a local Suffolk
militia. |
