Horace Sidney Broughton was a fisherman who served in the navy during the second world war. Like many servicemen, he contracted tuberculosis - which eventually killed him in 1948. This photograph was taken on board a Royal Navy ship during the war - exact date unknown - on which Horace was an engineer. |
