George
Booth was the son of William Booth (1840) and Mary, and was born around
1868 in Blackrod. In 1871 he was living in Little Scotland, Blackrod.
In 1881 he was aged 13, was living in Little Scotland, and was a rope
minder in a colliery. In 1891 he was living at 4 Blundell Lane, Blackrod,
and working as a coal miner. He married a woman called Mary Bailey
in 1897. In 1901 he was working as a coal miner and living at 4 Blundell
Lane, Blackrod.
