JOHN WILLIAM BENNS (1864 - )  
John William Benns was born in 1864 in Mutford and was the son of Robert Benns (1815) and Susanna. In 1871 he was living with his widowed father in Boston Lane, Barnby, Suffolk. In 1881 he was living with his father in the Beer House, Carlton Colville, and working as an agricultural labourer. He married Hannah Elizabeth Broom in Mutford in 1885. In 1891 he was living at The Pit, Carlton Colville, and working as an agricultural labourer.
