John
Bellingall was born in 1839 in Manchester and was the son of James
Bellingall (1795) and Mary Ann. He was christened on 8th August 1841
in Manchester Cathedral. In 1841 he was living in Butler Street, Manchester.
He married Ruth Rebecca Edwards on 12th January 1860 at Manchester
Cathedral. In 1861 he was working as a mechanic fitter and was living
at 8 Tate (?) Street, New Cross, in Manchester. In 1871 he was working
as a mechanic and living at 67 Junction Road in New Cross. In 1881
he was living in 37 Chatsworth Road, Beswick and was a mill mechanic.
In 1891 he was working as an engineer fitter and was living at 34
Church Street in the Bradford district of Manchester. In 1901 he and
Ruth were living at 24 Victoria Street in the Bradford district, next
door to daughter Emma and son-in-law Walter Williams at 22 Victoria
Street. John was working as a mechanical engineer.
