Fred
Bellingall was the son of Arthur Leigh Bellingall (1877) and Alice
Powell and was born in Reddish in 1899. In 1901 he was aged 2 and
was living at 13 Roseberry Street in Reddish. He emigrated to Boston, Mass., on the S.S. Samaria which left Liverpool on 23rd August 1923. On the passenger list he was described as a fitter and his next of kin as his father, Mr. A. Bellingall, 6 Apsley Road, Denton. His destination was the house of a friend at 536 Roxbury Street, Roxbury, Boston. Fred was described as 5'3" tall with a medium complexion, brown hair and hazel eyes. He married a woman called Ivy and, in 1927 and 1929, was living at 259 Kenilworth Avenue, Detroit, Michigan.
