Elizabeth
Bellingall was born in Manchester in 1829 and was the daughter of
James Bellingall (1795) and Mary Ann. In 1841 she was living in Butler
Street, Manchester. In 1861 she was assisting her father in his tobacconist's
shop at 70 Great Ancoats Street in Manchester. She was present at
his death in 1870. In 1872 she married shoemaker and widower Thomas
Brush, and they set up a shoe shop at 70 Great Ancoats Street. In
1881 they were employing Elizabeth Waite - John Waite's sister and
Elizabeth's niece - as a domestic servant. By 1891 they had moved
to 61 Charlotte Street in the Broughton district of Salford and were
at that adress in 1901. Elizabeth died in 1904 aged 75.
