AINSCOUGH
FAMILY
|
My father's
branch of the Ainscough family originated in Blackrod in Lancashire,
and lived in the villages of Haigh, Aspull and Blackrod until the
early 1800s. In the middle of the 19th century, several of the family
moved to Westhoughton and Hindley. In the 1890s, my great-grandfather
moved to Horwich, which is where my line of the family stayed until
the mid-1950s.
