WILLIAM AINSCOUGH (1888 - ?)
William Ainscough was born around 1888 in Blackrod and was the son of Michael Ainscough (b. 1864) and Elizabeth Moore. He was the grandson of James Ainscough (b. 1843) and the great-grandson of William Ainscough (b. 1816). In 1891 he was aged 3 and living at 20 Little Scotland, Blackrod. In 1901 he was aged 13, was working as an underground handling hand in a colliery and was living at 12 Off Houghton Street, Hindley.
