WILLIAM AINSCOUGH (1845 - ?)
William Ainscough was born on 30th August 1845 and christened on 18th September 1845 at Wigan. He was the son of William Ainscough (1816) and Fanny Holding. In 1851 he was aged 5, was at school and was living in Canal Row in Haigh. In 1861 he was aged 16 and was living at Farm Lease in Blackrod. He married a woman called Jane about 1866. By 1871 he was living at Cock Tavern Yard in Blackrod, was aged 25 and working as a collier. In 1881 he was working as a miner and living in Little Scotland, Blackrod. By 1891 he had moved to 23 Hill Lane, Blackrod. In 1901 he was aged 57, was working as a miner and was living at 26 Hill Lane, Blackrod.
