Solomon
Ainscough was born around 1867 in Pemberton and was the son of John
Ainscough (b. 1839) and Alice. He was the grandson of William Ainscough
(b. 1816). In 1881, he was aged 14, was a labourer in a coal mine
and was living at 2 Little Lane in Pemberton. He married Mary Beardsmore,
daughter of William and Eliza Beardsmore, in Pemberton in 1890. In
1891 he was a fireman in a coal line and living at 196 Enfield Street,
Pemberton. In 1901 he was aged 34, was working as a fireman in a coal
mine and was living at 141 Enfield Street, Pemberton.
