Ellen Ainscough was one of the seven daughters of my great-grandfather,
George Ainscough, and his wife, Mary Ellen Winward. This photograph
- taken in 1920 when she was aged 20 - gives a fascinating picture
of the fashion of the period. A shame that that the rest of
the picture is missing - either that or the photographer was
not very good. |
