| Jane
Ainscough was born around 1886 in Aspull and was the daughter of Charles
Ainscough (b. 1848) and Miriam O'Hara. She was the granddaughter of
William Ainscough (b. 1816). In 1891 she was aged 5, was at school
and was living at 17 Holly Street, Aspull. In 1901 she was aged 15,
was working as a card room hand in a cotton mill and was living at
1 Princess Street, Ince.
