AINSCOUGH (1883 - ?)

Fanny
Ainscough was born on 21st March 1883 at 61 Scot Lane, Aspull and
was the daughter of Charles Ainscough (1848) and Miriam O'Hara. She
was the granddaughter of William Ainscough (1816). In 1891 she was
aged 8, was at school and was living at 17 Holly Street, Aspull. In
1901 she was aged 18, was single and was working as a card room hand
in a cotton mill. She was living with her parents at 1 Princess Street
in Ince. She married William Edward Ellis on 25th April 1902 at the
Parish Church, Pemberton. Fanny and William had at least three children:
Jack (1903), Annie (1905) and William Edward (1910). She moved to
Bradford in 1919 - leaving son Jack in Wigan - where she eventually
married Leo Hodges.
