ELLEN AINSCOUGH (1908 - ?)
Ellen Ainscough, known as Nellie, was born in Horwich on 17th September 1908 and was the daughter of George Ainscough (b.1870) and Mary Ellen Winward. She married George Reginald Carter (Reg) in 1931. He was variously a Royal Canadian Mounted Policeman and a Policeman in Lancashire. The family moved from Horwich and lived in Canada and Australia. They had one son.
