DORIS AINSCOUGH (1917 - 1994)
Doris Ainscough was born in Horwich on 20th February 1917 and was the youngest daughter of George Ainscough (b.1870) and Mary Ellen Winward. Doris married John Markland, a Horwich butcher on 5th September 1942, and they had a shop in Winter Hey Lane in Horwich. Doris died on 21st July 1994 of myocardial infarction and diabetes mellitus in Bolton General Hospital. Doris and Jack had two children.
