CHARLES AINSCOUGH (1848 - ?)
Charles Ainscough was born around 1848 in Haigh. He was the son of William Ainscough (1816) and Fanny Holding. In 1851, he was aged 3 and living in Canal Row, Haigh. In 1861, he was aged 13, was working as a drawer in a coal mine and was living in Farm Lease in Blackrod. In 1871 he left Little Scotland where he was a coalminer and married Miriam O'Hara. In 1881, he was aged 34, was working as a coal miner and was living at 61 Scot Lane in Aspull. In 1891 he was aged 44, was working as a coal miner and was living at 17 Holly Street, Aspull. In 1901, Charles was aged 53, was working as a labourer in a coal mine and was living at 1 Princess Street in Ince.
