Annie Ainscough was born in Aspull around 1890 and was the daughter of Charles Ainscough (b. 1848) and Miriam O'Hara. She was the granddaughter of William Ainscough (b. 1816). In 1891 she was aged 1 and was living at 17 Holly Street, Aspull. In 1901 she was aged 11 and living at 1 Princess Street, Ince.
