Will Fly Will Fly Musician Links

Dave Sewell - US luthier Dave Sewell is based in Baltimore, Maryland, USA and is a great luthier who builds mainly Appalachian (mountain) dulcimers by night - and is a technical consultant by day.

Ian Chisholm - UK luthier Ian is a musician and luthier who makes beautiful guitars and other instruments such as mandolins, bouzoukis and lutes. I own the classical guitar he displays on his site, the tenor guitar and a matching mandolin made from the same woods as the tenor.

The Twagger Band

Traditional Music with Joy Lewis, Derrick Hughes, Sue Evans, Ian Chisholm and Will Duke. Based in Sussex, the Twaggers play concertinas, dulcimers, bagpipes, whistles, psaltery, keyboard, recorders, bouzouki, mandolin, guitar, serpent and crumhorn. There's a lute and a viola waiting in the wings, not to mention a hurdy gurdy and a didgeridoo but I'm not sure they're allowed out yet!

The Boat Band

The Boat Band are Greg Stephens (guitar & tenor banjo), Kate Barfield (fiddle) and Tony Weatherall (melodeon & Cajun accordion). They play a unique mix of traditional British music and Cajun tunes. They regularly cruise by boat around the islands of Scotland, playing music wherever they can, and they have a regular monthly gig at the "Greyhound" in Penkhull, Stoke-on-Trent.

Duck Baker

Duck Baker is one of the greatest fingerstyle guitarists in the world, playing a unique mixture of jazz, blues, ragtime, old-time music, and traditional Irish and Scottish tunes on both steel-strung and nylon-strung guitars. I had the privilege of organising and promoting a concert of Duck's music at a local theatre in April 2009.
