Hallo - and welcome to my website
I started playing harmonica and blues harp as a teenager, and then bought my first guitar in 1964. I’ve been a professional and semi-professional guitarist for over 40 years and now live in the county of Sussex in England. I started off playing in northern folk clubs in the 1960s and graduated to blues, jug band music and 1920s dance band music in London. I moved to the south coast, playing folk and jazz and then spent 12 years in a 1950s-style rock’n roll trio. I’ve just finished a 13-year stint in a 6-piece band, playing Southern Soul and boogie-woogie - basically the music of Stax and Muscle Shoals. I'm now back to playing electro-acoustic guitar in a Ceilidh band and in folk clubs. Over the years, I've added tenor banjo, mandolin, mountain dulcimer, ukelele and various other bits and pieces to the repertoire - and I've always dabbled on keyboards...
I have over 100 videos up on YouTube. These are a mixture of solo guitar pieces, guitar instructional videos, and multi-tracked tunes. Some of them are available as compilations on my DVDs "Will Fly's Music", "Will Fly...flies again" and "Flying High". Check out the DVDs link in the menu bar to see the contents. Many of the soundtracks to these videos are available as free soundfiles, to play or download. Check out the Audiofiles link to hear them. I've also been building up a collection of free sheets of tabs/music/chords for my own arrangements of tunes, which you can download and/or print for free. You can see these at the Tabs page.
Finally, if you're interested in how I make my videos and audiofiles, check out the Studio link.
