Widewater - 6th July 2015 - Album Index

The Widewater lagoon is a natural lake sandwiched between the beach and the coast road near Lancing. The lagoon acts as a flood reservoir for high tides and is a wildlife reserve. The houses on the lagoon side have their fronts on the main coast road and their backs on the lagoon. The block of flats at the end of the lagoon was once the site of one of the first film studios in England, and you can look north over the house roofs to the chapel of Lancing College at the foot of the downs.
