Dear Cousen
I received your kind letter and was very pleased to hear that
you were all quite well as thank god it leaves me at present
father and mother are both quite well and send there kind
love to you all and were pleased to hear that you were all
quite well Dear cousen I have sent you my Portrait hope that
you will receive it safe I shall be very pleased to have yours
give my kind love to Aunt and Uncle and cousens and please
to write so that I shall receive it in August as I think of
leaving my place by the 25 of August I cant tell you much
about the country I have not seen it since Christmas but I
like the country much better than London it is such a noise
place but here is plenty to see the parks are looking very
nice now the wether is very warm now we have had a great deal
of rain and cold wether Dear cousen I have asked father a
great many times to have his likeness taken so that he might
send you one but he seems a long time about it he would have
to go about 4 miles to have one taken I think that if he started
to have it taken he would alter his mind before he reached
the place he looks fat and well the last time I saw him you
will see by my likeness that I am fat I don't think that I
have any more to say at this present so I must conclude with
my kind love to you all and except the same yourself I remain
your affectionate cousen Betsy Broughton please rite soon
Forget me
not
Forget me not
I never shall cease to think of thee
good bye Miss
Broughton
