La Luna - music by Alan Day & Will Fly

Alan & Will are regular performers at the monthly Charlwood Village Singaround, the Rising Sun, Charlwood, Surrey on the 2nd Monday of each month, and at the Bull session, Ditchling, Sussex, on the last Sunday of each month. Alan has recently moved to Suffolk, but the duo will continue to perform together whenever possible. See the Links page for details.

Alan Day and Will Fly have been playing concertina and guitar duets since the beginning of 2009. Alan is one of Britain's foremost Anglo concertina players, having played in bands such as Rosbif and GIG CB, and is the producer of the 3-CD box sets "Anglo International" and "English International". Will has played a wide variety of acoustic and electric music, solo and in bands, over the years - ranging from folk, blues and ragtime to rock'n roll, funk and music-hall. Their 2010 album "La Luna" contains a selection of favourite tunes from their separate and combined repertoires and, in particular, features many original compositions by Alan. Alan plays two vintage Jefferies concertinas (G/D & C/G), and Will plays Martin and Chisholm acoustic guitars fitted with Elixir Nanoweb strings, and a matched Chisholm tenor guitar and mandolin.
