This is a "work in progress" plan of Kirkley Cemetery, Lowestoft and is based, with kind permission, on the Kirkley Cemetery Index provided by Waveney District Council. Use the Index to find the plot reference for your ancestor, e.g. "K/EA/98".

Ignore the "K/" part of the reference. Look down the number column until you find the row containing your number, e.g. "98" - then go across the row to find the square which contains your letter(s), e.g. "EA".

Click on the link in the square to display the grave plots in that square and show the names of those buried in any plot. You may move from square to square in a lateral or vertical direction by clicking the green arrow. Vacant plots or paths are shown in grey.

If your ancestor did not have a gravestone to mark their plot, the square will show you the people in the adjacent plots. They may have gravestones, and the location of these may help you to identify the place where your ancestor was buried.

Please note that the names in the Kirkley Index have been downloaded from the Waveney website and have not been edited in any way.
