Betty Taylor was born in 1823 and christened on 28th September at St. Peter, Bolton-le-Moord. She was the daughter of Samuel Taylor (1800) and Jane Aspinall. In 1841 she was living at Gate Pike, Great Bolton and working as a weaver.
