Ernest Lee was the son of George Lee (1863) and Elizabeth Bellingall and was born in the Prestwich district on 30th July 1888. The family emigrated to Tasmania sometime before 1891. Ernest – known to the family as “Jack” – married Carrie Grist Standage in Launceston, Tasmania, on 20th June 1917. He died in Launceston General Hospital on 26th March 1960 and was buried in Carr Villa Cemetery.
