Samuel Ainscough was the son of John Ainscough (1850) and Susan and was born in Preston in 1880. In 1881 and 1891 he was living at 64 Ashmoor Street in Preston. In 1901 he was at Ashmoor Street and working as a cabinet maker. In 1911 he was living with his widowed mother at 64 Ashmoor Street in Preston, and working as a cabinet maker. He died in Preston in 1925, aged 44.
