Notes for William Robert Pomfrey
William Robert Pomfrey was the son of Edmund Pomfrey (b.1843) and Mary Timbers. In 1881 he was aged 8 and living at 2 County Villas, Lowestoft. In 1891 he was aged 19, was a solicitor's clerk and was living at 4 Sydney Cottages, County Villas. In 1901 he was aged 28 and was working as a painter and decorator in Little Walsingham. He married a woman from Derby called Mary Ann in 1902. In 1903 he was living in Burton in Staffordshire. By 1908 he was living in Sheffield and, in 1909, was living in Worksop. In 1911, was working as a house painter and living at 3 Ambrose Terrace, Larges Street, Derby.
