Notes for Louisa Eke
Louisa Eke was born in Binham in 1852 and was the daughter of William Eke (1826) and Elizabeth Daplyn. In 1861 she was living with her parents in Great Walsingham. In 1865 she was a witness at the wedding of Edmund Pomfrey and Mary Timbers in Langham. In 1881 she was unmarried and was working as linen draper's assistant in a shop in King's Lynn. In 1891 she was still single and working as a draper's assistant in Bradford Street, Norwich. In 1901 she was running her own draper 's business at Oak Street in Fakenham - where Edmund and Mary had retired to by 1901.
