Daplyn W Eke was born in 1878 in King's Lynn and was the son of William Robert Eke (1848) and Hannah Seaman. In 1881 he was living at 14 Victoria Street, South Lynn. In 1901 he was working as a baker in Hindringham and boarding in the household of miller Frederick Playle in the Mill House.
