Elizabeth Semmons was born around 1689, probably in Edgefield, and married Christopher Broughton (b. 1689) in Edgefield on 18th August 1709. She was the daughter-in-law of Edward Broughton (1655). She was buried in Edgefield on 23rd September 1710.
