Mary Ellen Mangnall was the daughter of Abel Mangnall (1825) and Betty Hall and was born in Westhoughton in 1862. In 1871 she was living at Dobb Brow, Westhoughton. In 1881 she was living at 43 Dob Brow and working as a silk weaver. In 1891 she was living at 94 Dob Brow and working as a silk weaver.
