Ann Mangnall was born in Westhoughton in 1842 and was the daughter of William Mangnall (1818) and Ellen. In 1851 she was working as an errand girl and living in Dobb Brow, Westhoughton. In 1861 she was working as a silk weaver and living in Balfin Fold, Westhoughton.
