Sarah Riesberry was born in Edgefield in 1836 and was the daughter of Thomas Robert Riseborough (1798) and Sarah Broughton. She married James Bristow in Ontario. She died in Ontario on 30th March 1890. Sarah and James had seven children: Elizabeth (1862), Alice (1865), Phoebe (1866), Robert (1867), John (1868), Mary (1870) and James (1873).
