William Garrould was the son of William James Garrould (1815) and Ann Gibbs and was born in Ditchingham in 1857. In 1861 he was living on the Heath, Ditchingham. In 1871 he was living in Norwich Road, Ditchingham. In 1881 he was working in his father's bakery in Ditchingham. In 1887 his father had died and William was running the bakery. In 1901 he was running the bakery and living with his sisters and widowed mother at 62 Mill Road, Gorleston. William never married. In 1911 he was living with sisters Eade and Ann and his niece Georgina at 41 Gatacre Road, Great Yarmouth, and working as a baker.
