Albert Edward Garrould was born in Ditchingham in 1880 and was the son of Edward William Garrould (1852) and Anna Chipperfield. In 1881 he was living on the Heath, Ditchingham. In 1891 he was living in Station Road. In 1901 he was working as a shoemaker and was living in Station Road. In 1911 he was working as a cook in the Shipmeadow Union Workhouse in Beccles. Albert married Maud Victoria Butcher in 1912. Albert hanged himself around 1935 and Maud remarried in 1936 to George E. Morton.
